Weird 3D exploration puzzle game
Activate the Three Artefacts and then Leave is a free 3D game. You have to find and turn on three objects in a huge and disorienting maze, and then escape!
This is an abstract and eerie exploration game that uses beautiful minimal 3D graphics and ambient sound to depict a strange floating maze. There are no options and no title screen, and also no save points. If you want to exit Activate the Three Artefacts and then Leave, you must press escape, meaning you'll have to start again from the beginning.
The beginning of the Activate the Three Artefacts and then Leave puts you in an apparently empty, white world. Wheel the mouse around, and you'll see an out-of-focus structure in the distance, with a hole in the middle. You realize the structure is huge as you approach it, and entering is impressive.
Inside is a complex maze of huge open spaces and claustrophobic tunnels. It's really disorientating, but Activate the Three Artefacts and then Leave uses sound intelligently to give you recognizable markers.
Activate the Three Artefacts and then Leave is a weird and atmospheric. It's certainly on the art side of gaming, but there's no doubt it's a challenge to find the artifacts and escape.
